Covid-19 Secure

Coronavirus is affecting all our daily lives, including our workplaces. We recognise the very challenging position that many employers and workers are now facing. Following the most current Government advice and development around the Coronavirus, we would like to update you and our customers on the steps we are taking to help minimise the spread of COVID-19 and to secure our supply of packaging.

Supporting our Customers

We are working hard to support our customers during this difficult time, especially those supplying essential goods, such as food and medical supplies.

We are not currently experiencing any significant disruption to our operations from the Coronavirus and recent events have had no impact on our capacity to receive, manufacture and deliver our goods to you. We have robust contingency plans in place to deal with the escalation of this issue and we will continue to keep our employees and our customers informed on any developments.

We remain committed to delivering to you while ensuring the safety of our employees and complying with the latest Government guidelines.

Supporting our Employees

The safety of our people is our utmost priority, therefore, we have put extensive health & safety measures in place to ensure that our colleagues are safe, that travel is minimised, and that emergency access is maintained.

We will no longer be holding meetings on site with members and customers.

We will monitor, update and revise this guidance as the situation and government advice develops.

Measures Taken

Currently, in order to help combat the spread of COVID-19, we have been putting extra precautionary safety measures in place, including:

  • Wherever possible we are ceasing all on and off-site meetings.
  • Restricting access for visibly ill individuals.
  • Continually educating our employees on prevention.
  • Emphasizing frequent and proper hand washing.
  • Advising our employees to self-isolate for 14 days if display COVID-19 advised symptoms.
  • Cleaning high contact points more frequently.
  • Providing hand sanitizer and hand washing products.
  • Working with local health authorities.

We will continue to keep in touch with all our customers, partners and suppliers, following the official guidance from the UK Government and Public Health England carefully aiming to minimise the spread of COVID-19.

Finally, we would like to show our appreciation to our incredible NHS who are working tirelessly to help battle and prevent the spread of the virus, as well as our military forces and retail staff for their hard work and continued efforts.

Garthwest COVID-19 Committee.
